So that's the holdays over then, huh. It was a busy one, and I drank far too much as Barry did the driving. I'm looking forward to this year, lets hope it's a good one.
I checked my email today, for the first time in a week or so. Got a few things to do for people, one thing was quite interesting. I maintain another blog for someone, and he has deleted every post that he put up, up to this year. He said because he would rather look forward than back. I can understand it completely, I very rarely do go back and read what i've written, and to be honest, i don't think i'd want to. But maybe we write our blogs for different reasons, I write mine because writing things down (or typing, and i type a lot faster than i write) helps me remember things and means that family overseas can see what i'm up to. I got this far and now can't think why he writes his. Oh well.
I'll be getting another valuation on my apartment this week, get it back up on the market. I also need to arrange something special for a friend this week (see what i mean about writing stuff down to remember).

My apartment is going back on the market today, i'm hoping that the new year brings some better luck for selling. At least the new agent took some indoor photos so people might actually be interested this time.
Back to work tomorrow, I'm kind of looking forward to it. I'm bored out of my skull sat at home and wondering if i can remember how to do anything at work.
Oh and that special thing i said about yesterday went down well, i'm such an old romantic.

Work is going to be hectic over the next few months. I've got even more work now than i did before the holidays. Looks like it'll be back to working on the weekends too. I don't mind that too much, least it gets me out of bed on saturday instead of sleeping till noon.
For some reason i watched the start of Celebrity Big Brother last night... I don't think I'll be glued to it somehow, only marginally interesting thing is that they threw a not famous person there too - but then i don't think half of them know each other anyway, so probably won't make much of a difference.
Oh, funny story... I started making spaghetti bologanse last night, put the spaghetti on, then i found i didn't actually have any bolognase.

I'm hanging a bit today. Was a friends birthday yesterday so i rushed home after work and then back over near work to have a few drinks. We visited a few pubs then the last one tried the bouncer wouldn't let us in, but by the looks of it it was because there had been an incident just down the road. A couple of police officers took down all our details - we'd only just gotten there, we didn't do anything gov'.
We ended up playing cards and 2 of us trying to teach people how to play poker. I thought poker was a basic part of everyone's school education. I guess not.
I'm staying in the rest of the weekend. Well, maybe the pub quiz tomorrow night...

Is it just me or does this weather just make you not want to do anything but sleep? I had a good amount of sleep saturday night but sunday night in the pub i was just ready to fall asleep. We went to try a different pub quiz last night, but the pub was practically empty so we had like a mini-quiz on our table with the manager.
Oh, and when i did finally get to bed last night i couldn't fall asleep. I hate that.

Urrrrggggghhhhhhhhh
This is a reminder to myself to not go out on a tuesday night in London. It was a good night though, quite eventful. Once we managed to get and survive the taxi to the station, missed the train, found our way around Kings Cross and got to the pub, we started drinking. We hadn't had time to get anything to eat either. The pub kicked out and we ended up in the SoHo Lounge where i met a nice student vet.
We left that place to get the last train home, and of course, we missed it... Taxi home and pizza while we waited.
I want my bed.

Thank god it's friday. Now, this weekend i'm really not planning on doing much - apart from sleeping and maybe watching some tv. I'm going shopping with Jenn tomorrow, but that's it! I need to catch up on some sleep, clean and tidy my apartment, maybe even see if there's any work i need to do.
I've got to have a look around some sites today for digital cameras, that's why we're going to shopping tomorrow, to find a camera for Jenn. She's off to Thailand in March for a couple of weeks so needs a new camera. Her brother lives and owns a pub over there, which is handy to know. It's a long flight though, and she's heading over on here own and will be flying back with her mum. I must find out what time i'm supposed to be picking them up.

Had a very lazy weekend, which was nice after all the holidays and things. Took Jenn out shopping on saturday and found her a digital camera for her to take away. I did have to explain how the thing works, i thin she might have been under the impression that you could only use the memory cards once - like film. But i guess that's a common misconception after using film cameras for a long time.
I'm taking her to the airport when she goes off (another reminder for myself here). She'll be in Thailand in 2 months and takes off from Heathrow on the saturday.
Some good news over the weekend. I got an offer on my apartment. It's a little under the asking price but the agent thinks she'll go a bit higher so i'm holding out to see what happens. Should find out today or tomorrow. I started to look for places to live yesterday too, just places to rent in Aylesbury for now, but i'll look closer to work too.

Spoke to the estate agents yesterday and he's going to speak to the person that made the offer to see if she'll put the offer up a bit. She was going to be looking at some other places so i'm still crossing my fingers, hopefully i'll hear today.
Thursday already, this week's going by fast. Somehow i've remembered to make my lunch every day this week and i've made sure that the apartment has been clean - in case of viewers during the day. My memory's not been too bad this year!
Looks like the cold weather is on it's way - woohoo.

Brrr it's getting cold. Not quite Moscow, but you know, still cold.
Had a good weekend. Some people round friday night and we played some Buzz on the ps2 then a lot of Singstar. Turns out I'm actually not too bad at Singstar, i'm not much of a karaoke fan - infact i just don't do karaoke at all. But i was scroing well and the others were a little impressed. It was damn funny too, we'll definately do that again, 'specially when we're all skint like right now.
Didn't do too much else over the weekend. Attempted the pub quiz last night, but it wasn't on so we threw a few quid in to a quiz machine and had a couple of drinks. We need to find a new pub quiz...

Been a bit of a crazy week. I picked Mom up on sunday - nobody else knew that she was coming over, and she's been surprising people all week. I took Mom and Gran out for dinner on tuesday for Gran's birthday, the look on here face when Mom was standing at the door...
I don't usually talk about work much, but this week has been mental busy. I really haven't stopped, I had someone round wednesday night and got a work call. Hopefully we're through the worst of it for now.
And today i've got to leave work for a bit to take Gran for her hospital checkup.

Quite a busy weekend, Mom's still over so I was doing the host thing. We were both shattered friday night after spending 3 hours at the hospital and her spending most of the day on the bus so we didn't do much.
Saturday Mom wanted to see the damage at Buncefield, so I drove over there and took the long way home stopping at a pub near Woburn for some lunch.
Yesterday we went over to MK, had a quick look round the shops and then went to the cinema and we saw King Kong. Yes, i had already seen it, but I didn't mind watching it again. Not like anyone else didn't know the ending anyway.
